HomeMammoth Trips

The club has at least one trip per month during the ski season with a mix of both weekend and midweek trips. The trips are typically 3-4 nights in length. In addition to the opportunity to ski/snowboard one of the west coast’s premier mountains, the club also has a social evening and another evening with a club hosted dinner. The weekend trips are typically Thursday through Sunday, and the midweek trips are typically Monday through Thursday. The club also offers an extended trip to coincide with the Ski Ride Race Camp in December each year. For the 2024-2025 Ski season, the club will offer the following NEW options to club members:

  • A newly added WEEKEND DECEMBER ski trip that overlaps the traditional trip that coincides with the Ski Ride Race Camp.
  • An optional additional dayfor many of the ski trips during the ski season.

The club rents condos in the Snowflower complex, located near Minaret and Old Mammoth Road. The Red Line shuttle for the town of Mammoth has a stop right outside the complex which makes it easy to get to and from the Main Lodge or even to the other lodges on the mountain. The condos are configured with two bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom, and a loft space with multiple beds. Members can choose to have an entire bedroom to themselves, share a bedroom with another member (to save some money) or take a bed in the shared loft space. The Trip Coordinator typically assigns members of the same gender to a loft space; however, in some instances a loft space may need to be mixed gender. The Trip Coordinator works to limit the number of people in the loft to just two people.

The club also works with members to help find others to share a ride to and from southern California to Mammoth Mountain. A big help for those newer members who may not have a “snow appropriate” vehicle, are uncomfortable driving in the snow alone or just want some company on the drive. The club does not use buses to transport members, allowing members set their own travel schedule to and from Mammoth. This allows some members to leave early the first day or stay later the last day in order to get an extra half-day on the slopes. Some members even do both to maximize their time on the slope and avoid the limits imposed by a fixed bus schedule.

Pricing

The cost for a trip depends on the trip dates and selected sleeping accommodations. The club offers a $50 discount for members that sign up and pay for a trip before the Early Bird (i.e., cancelation) date (typically 30-45 days prior to the trip). The pricing below is for the 2024-2025 ski season, before the Early Bird discount.

The following is the pricing for an extra night, on those trips where it is offered.

NOTE: There are a limited number of extra night "slots" available ... so sign up early, if interested. If you want to know if there is extra night space availability, please contact the Trip Coordinator.
